Novomet was established in 1991 by the staff of the Republican center for powder metallurgy engineering and technology in Perm.
One of our first products was stages for oil-producing electric submersible pumps. Manufacture was based on a new powder technology never before used in the oilfield industry and giving a number of advantages.

In 1997 the new type of centrifugal-vortex stage was designed, and since 1998 the company started mass production of centrifugal-vortex pumps for producing oil in harsh environmental conditions. Centrifugal-vortex pumps have successfully worked in the regions of the Urals and West Siberia, which allowed the company to set up production facilities with annual capacity of one million stages and two thousand pumps. In 2000 company’s high performance was awarded with the prize of the Government of the Russian Federation for science and technology. Our products were also granted numerous Russian and international patents.

At present Novomet

• manufactures complete ESP systems for oil production, water injection systems and test-benches for equipment testing;
• renders selection and sizing services and manufactures custom-made equipment for specific wells;
• leases equipment on "pay per day" basis;
• performs ESP equipment maintenance and overhaul;
• renders R&D and expert services in science of material, tribotechnics and hydraulic gas dynamics.
