History of the company

Novomet was established in 1991. One of our first products was stages for oil-producing electric submersible pumps. Manufacture was based on a new powder technology never before used in the oilfield industry and giving a number of advantages, comparing to traditional methods.

The initial period was characterized by production of stages of various series, including abrasion- and corrosion-resistant stages.

In 1998 a new type of pumps – centrifugal-vortex pumps – was manufactured. Field testing has confirmed high operating capacity of these new pumps in harsh environmental conditions. This product was awarded with a prize for scientific and technological achievements from Government of the Russian Federation, as well as was granted both national and international patents.

In 2002 the company launched into mass production pumps for reservoir pressure maintenance, submersible electric motors and seals as well as gas separators and check valves of original design. The same year new pump designs were developed. These designs are granted both national and international patents. This allowed Novomet to start mass production of complete ESP systems.

In 2002 the service enterprise for service and repair of produced equipment was set. At present «Novomet-Service» operates actively in Western Siberia, Orenburg region, Saratov region and Kazakhstan.

In 2003-2004 range of ESP systems was significantly expanded from D (OD 3.38”) to R (OD 6.77”) series with flow rate capacity from 94 up to 25 150 bpd.

In 2004 the company started production of downhole screen filters of two types: slotted and metal-foam. Filters are designed to protect pump stages from solids ingress.

In 2004 high level of Novomet development was confirmed by quality control system certification according to the international standard ISO 9001:2000.

In 2005 the company set up mass production of ESP systems with high flow rate. New company management system SyteLine was implemented.

In 2005-2006 the company has completed production upgrading, purchased best-in-class automated lines, mechanical machining centers, which allowed to improve quality of manufactured products and increase its volume.

In 2007 Joint Venture “Novomet International FZC” was established in United Arab Emirates. Russian State certificate of labor safety conformity was granted to the company.

In 2008 range of ESP systems expanded from B (OD 3.19”) to T (OD 7.44”) series with flow rate capacity from 50 up to 37 730 bpd. Novomet started production of permanent magnet motors, VSDs and downhole sensor systems.

In 2009 one more service facility for maintenance and repair of produced equipment was established, this time in Strezhevoy city (Tomsk region)
New type of ESP system for rigless operation for water wells was designed.
The company started production of seals of new designs: modular and piston-type configurations.
