Efficiency demonstration

From September 10^th through October 8^th Novomet engineers conducted several presentations-demonstrations devoted to “Comparison of asynchronous and permanent magnet motor efficiency characteristics” held at Design Bureau “Konnas” in Moscow.

These presentations were witnessed by technical specialists from the largest Russian oil companies (“Rosneft”, “Zarubezhneft”, “RussNeft”, “Lukoil”, “Gazpromneft-Khantos”, etc.). Let us remind that the first testing of high efficiency ESP vs. conventional design was held last summer.

The target was to compare asynchronous and permanent magnet motors operation performance at equal loads as well as testing of Novomet VSD and Sensor System.

Units completed with asynchronous and permanent magnet motors were installed into the well one after another (NH-500, head 820 ft.) All of the units energy and hydraulic characteristics were registered.

After that oil companies representatives calculated the efficiency value of both units and it showed that the ESP completed with PMM has 10% higher efficiency.
