On April 21st – 23rd Moscow “Renaissance” hotel was hosting the 7th International Practical Conference and Exhibition “Artificial lift 2010”. Novomet group of companies is a traditional participant of both events. This time our company was represented by Farkhat Khafizov, “Novomet-Service” General Manager, Evgeniy Poshvin, Head of R&D department, and Sergey Slepchenko, Head of Analytical Department at “Novomet-Service”.

Each year conferences of this type (the first one took place back in 2004) bring together technical, administrative and marketing elite of oil sector in order to discuss the key tendencies of development in artificial lift technologies and service.

For the past six years, all major
Russian and International manufacturers of complete artificial lift systems and most oil producing companies have been actively supporting this project (over 350 participants each year). What was special about the 2010 Conference is that it was prepared and held by members of the Artificial Lift Council of Experts, which allowed organizers to fill the event agenda with most interesting reports. Let’s point out that “Novomet-Perm” Director of Science Alexander Rabinovich became the member of the Council of Experts and was presenting his report “Once again about the national oil-service company”. Among key topics of the summit were the following: artificial well stock operation analysis, service development, new oil production technologies and equipment, energy-efficient technologies, harsh operating conditions (scales, solids, corrosion, high GOR, asphaltene wax and paraffin deposits) and etc. Another Novomet representative Sergey Slepchenko devoted his report to the analysis of Novomet experience in cooperation with Russian and International oil producing companies. Sergey also shared his view on prospects and opportunities of ESP leasing in modern conditions.
