Slotted Screen Intake

Application

The slotted screen is used as an intake of ESP system. It protects ESP impellers and diffusers from propping agent after reservoir hydraulic fracturing and from mechanical impurities with cross section size of a particle not less than 100 micrometers*.

How does It work?

The slotted screen intake is installed between seal and lower pump. When formation fluid is coming through the intake mechanical impurities are stopped by the screen on the surface and deposite into the dia hole. Filtration rate depends on a slot size. The length of the intake is sized according to the pump flow rate. Slotted screen intake of any length can be sized to any existing type of pump.
